It is the right first handmade wallet, and the one to buy when a cheaper bifold has just peeled at the corners. This is the brown version.

How it is made

Cut from 100% full grain cow leather with a crazy horse finish and skived by hand at the fold so it lies flat in a pocket. The slots are lined in calf rather than fabric, so they stretch to your cards and then stop. Every seam is a saddle stitch in waxed linen thread, two needles through each hole, which does not unravel when a thread wears. Nothing about the construction is cheaper than the Kingsmann; the Regal is simpler, not lesser.

What goes in it

What it does with wear

The brown surface lightens at the fold and corners and darkens where your hand holds it, and within a month the Regal looks like yours. Scratches in the wax rub out with a thumb. A dry wipe each month and a little leather balm twice a year is all it asks.
