About this piece
The Majestic, in detail
The Majestic is the wallet for the man who carries everything: business cards, cards from two banks, a licence, an office pass, and cash from a day of trading. It folds twice, so a third panel flips out with extra slots and the note section runs deeper than a bifold's, and it still fits a trouser pocket. This is the brown version.
How it is made
Cut from 100% full grain cow leather with a crazy horse finish and skived by hand at both folds, so a wallet with three panels still closes flat. The slots are lined in calf, which stretches to the cards you keep and then holds. Every seam is a saddle stitch in waxed linen thread, done with two needles through each hole, which is why a hand stitched wallet outlasts a machine stitched one: if one thread wears through, the other still holds the seam.
What goes in it
Ten to twelve cards across the three panels and a cash section that takes a proper stack of notes. The trade off for the room is thickness; a loaded trifold is about half as thick again as a bifold with the same contents. If you want the room but keep your wallet in a jacket or a bag, the Rodeo long wallet takes notes flat. The comparison is in bifold vs trifold vs minimalist.
What it does with wear
The brown crazy horse surface lightens along the two folds and the edges and darkens on the panels your hands hold. Scratches show pale in the wax and most rub out with a thumb. A dry wipe each month and leather balm twice a year is all the care it needs; the full routine is in our leather care guide.

How it is made
Crazy horse leather, stitched by hand
Every piece is cut from full hides by local artisans. The waxed surface marks and darkens with use, so no two pieces age the same way.
- 01The material
We buy whole hides and reject about a third. What is left is graded by hand for grain, thickness and stretch.
- 02The cutting
Straps are cut along the spine where the hide is tightest, so a belt holds its shape instead of curling.
- 03The stitching
One row of saddle stitch, two needles, waxed linen thread. It cannot unravel the way a machine seam can.
- 04The finish
Edges bevelled, sanded, burnished four times, sealed with beeswax. Then the buckle goes on and it is checked.
